You’d probably expect them to finish in the bottom half of the table.

We’re not a confident bunch for the first time this season no one has voted for a win
Apologies for my absence.
I’ve gone against the grain and predicted we snatch a 1-0 win after being up against it for long spells .

Barnsley 0-2 County
Barry? Olaofe?
Going to have to predict a very optimistic 2-0 win as it’s my first game since Blackpool. Hope we change the team up a bit and get Tanto & Barry up top together like we saw early on last season.
Barnsley strangely enough seem better away from home when looking a little bit into their record.
️ Attendance:14,200

Hard to know what to expect from them on the night but generally they are a Championship club and will want to get back there asap. They’ll have a big crowd up for it fueled by booze, I actually expect to be on the back foot a lot of the game personally.

Good performance tonight, especially the second half we were by far the better side and got our reward in the end.

Having slept on it and now the booze has wore off, surely I’m not the only one thinking Barnsley weren’t all that?
I thought we defended brilliantly at times, although a very shaky start at the back especially from Onyango he didn’t need to dive in there.
The fight and determination was really driven on by our subs, taking off Tanto who was ineffective all night and putting on Fevrier and Diamond worked wonders and we were finally knocking on the door.
Pleased for Barry he’s not had the best games of late, probably found out that he won’t have it all his own way at this level but kept going all game.
Special mention for Addai he kept us in the game numerous times 🧤, some may say he’s just doing his job but after his performance against Leyton Orient I thought he put a solid shift in.
Plenty to be positive about fellow Hatters .

I agree, I thought Barnsley were fairly ordinary and, other than the penalty, thought we handled them well. We seemed a different team with the subs second half, more one touch passing and movement rather than, for me, too much long ball from the first half. A well deserved point and glad I was proved wrong with my defeat prediction!
