Interesting game I thought. Started well and they then came into it and got the goal. We then seemed to spend a lot of time passing along the back and not getting very far. Improved into the second half and I thought we were going to get a winner but it wasn’t to be. Ref was a bit lenient I thought with some of their tacking!

@Wayne I thought the Ref was losing it at times. Some of their tackling went unpunished when I thought he could have given a yellow.
As for our play I don’t think it was that they were difficult to break down, I just think we were a bit too safe with it at times.

One thing that’s not been mentioned, I thought Will Swann looked bright for them on Saturday, led the line well and ran back winning the ball back a few times.
He always looked lovely for Newport, I’m not suggesting we should have gone in for him but he’s certainly not a bad striker at all.

Happens to us all matey. Will Swan did play for them last season so you can be forgiven
