@admin said in Steve Bruce takes over at Blackpool:
I always imagined Bruce managing Salford because of his utd link with Neville and co.
His style of play would have been very suited last season hoofing it up to Matt Smith 😉.
Neil Critchley has been sacked by Blackpool.

After watching and reading content online after our win on Saturday it’s possibly not really surprising, a lot of fans wanted him gone.
It’s not just based on this season, over the course of 12 months they’ve been missed out on the playoffs by a point but made a poor start this term even if it is only two games in.
A harsh sacking on paper but his post-match on Saturday was woeful, sounded like he’d lost all enthusiasm for the job already.
@TFR said in Blackpool sack Neil Critchley:
Promotion in his first spell, 8th and just 3 points off the playoffs last season, seems a little harsh based on that, there has to be more to it surely?
On the face of it, it does seem extremely harsh yes when put like that. As you say something else must have gone on. It’d be like Challinor just missing out on the playoffs, then wanting him sacked the following season with two games gone, bizarre!
I know he was there a few years back when they was in the Premier League but I hadn’t really checked on how he’s done recently. The stats @TFR has put above have shocked me, surely he’s not been sacked due to the playing side of things? Something gone on behind the scenes perhaps? .
